HSP was originally developed for dentists. As part of their drilling equipment, dentists use a very thin tube to spray water into the patient's mouth to keep things clean and enable their treatment protocol. These tubes routinely would get contaminated with bio-film which forms a fertile breeding ground for bacteria.

This is how the product originated and was very successful. Then, its efficacy quickly became apparent in a wide range of other applications. Since that time, the proprietary process has been optimized into the product we have today.
